Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
Aziz is Chief Executive Officer and Owner of FloraBio. Aziz has started his cell culture venue at GBF (Gesellschaft für Biotechnologische Forschung) in Germany as PhD student. His has gained his first industry experience by Roche Diagnostics in Penzberg (DE) where he has transferred production processes from USA to Germany. During this time he has experienced the first large scale manufacturing challenges. Aziz has worked later by Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach as Head of Cell Culture Technology Group. He has designed production processes to run in 15.000 L scale. During his time by Boehringer he has seen the need of a good functioning platform technology for manufacturing of recombinant proteins. He has then founded the Cellca GmbH in Germany and developed one of the most powerful platform technologies in the world for cell line generation and media design. Cellca GmbH was sold to Sartorius in 2015. During 8 years of Cellca GmbH experience, his group has developed Anti-CHO culture media and licensed out to GE Health Care. He has also developed more that 50 cell lines and processes during his career. The first biosimilar cell and process of Aziz develops enters the US market next year. He is specialized in every part of upstream process development from small to large scale including production processes based on primary cell cultivation.

Chief Operating Officer and Co-founder
Cem is COO/CMO and co-founder of Florabio and CEO of Florabio Academy. He started his career as a management trainee at Sartorius AG where he has gained experience in various departments before being appointed to Sartorius Turkey. In his career spanning 16 years at Sartorius Turkey Cem worked as a Project manager, Sales Manager and Director of Sales. In 2016 after 13 years of Sales and Marketing experience in Pharma and Biotech sectors, Cem co-founded Florabio and Florabio Academy together with Dr. Aziz Cayli and Dr. Joachim Walter. He has a B.A in Economics degree from Bilkent University and still continuing his masters degree at Ege University on biotechnology.
